It is with saddened hearts that we the family of Rosanne, have to announce her passing that occurred at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney on Jan. 30, 2014, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Isabel (Morris) Stevens. Rosanne was a Mi'kmaq teacher for many years and was a member of the Richmond Local NSTU.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Shelley Denny (Levi), Eskasoni and Blayne, Potlotek; sons, Jaret (Angela) and Brennan, both of Potlotek; grandchildren, Ryan Daniel, Cayden, Levi Jr. 'Big Guy', Emma, and Isabel; brother, George Stevens, Potlotek; sisters, Teresa Stephen and Irene Gould, both of Potlotek; niece, Paula (Jay) Marshall; nephews, Robert Andrews, Chris Andrews and Jonathan (Melissa) Andrews. Rosanne was also a foster parent to Violet Paul.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Levi. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, Feb. 2nd at 6 p.m. until Tuesday afternoon Feb. 4th at 12:30 p.m. in St. Kateri Tekakwitha Chapel in Potlotek. Mass of Christian Farewell will be held Tuesday afternoon in the Immaculate Conception Church in Barra Head at 1 p.m. with Rev. Lourdusamy Mariadoss officiating. Burial to be held in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Barra Head. A Salité will be held following the burial in the Potlotek Community Hall.
