The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, of Susan Chaisson of Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op and formerly of St. Edward, aged 89 years. Wife of the late Emmanuel Chaisson. She was born in St. Edward on Feb. 1, 1925, the daughter of the late Jean Doucette. Dear mother to Shirley (Richard) Ellsworth, St. Edward; Don (Nellie) Chaisson, St. Edward; Julie (Raymond) Albert. Hamilton, Ont. George (Betty) Chaisson, Peterville; Blanche (Ivan) Bernard, Hamilton, Ont. And Terry (Maureen) Chaisson, St. Edward. Loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a special brother Aubrey Doucette, Kensington. She was predeceased by her husband Emmanuel, granddaughters Roxanne Ellsworth and Elizabeth Albert, grandsons Chad and Randy Chaisson, great-granddaughter Jennifer Ellsworth. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Rd., for visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, on Tuesday with funeral mass at 10 a.m. Celebrant is Rev. Arthur Sequeira. Memorial donations to the Tignish Senior Home Care Co-op or Immaculate Conception Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Interment later in the church cemetery.
