Passed away into peace at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Jan. 31, 2014, Mrs. Elizabeth McLean of Eddies Cove East, NL at the age of 96 years. She will always be remembered by her daughters Laura, Rosie (Phil), Mamiellen (Whyman), Sarah, and Lavenia (Tom); her sons James (May) and Stedman (Pauline); her brother Walter (Hazel); 35 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She lived to see the passing of her beloved husband Azariah McLean, her son Norman McLean, and sons-in-law Cecil Parrill, Stedman Letto and Calvin Dyson. Visitation was held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Lower Cove from where the funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 with Rev. Marlene Harvey and lay person Maxine Hughes officiating. Burial followed in the Anglican Cemetery in Eddies Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
