Bud passed away peacefully, and with dignity, on Jan. 31 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He has left an incredible legacy of love and joy for all who knew him and he will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his wife, soul mate and high school sweetheart, Vivian (Daye); his three children, Cheryl, Karen (Peter) and Russell (Brenda); nine beloved grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who all adored him.
He will also be missed by his brothers, Sonny, Jack (Veronica) and Gerald as well as sisters-in-law, Dorothy Mombourquette and Catherine (Neil van de Ven).
He was predeceased by his parents, Bill & Myrtle Cluett and sister, Elaine Macaulay (Lou).
Bud will be missed by a wonderful circle of friends and family who spanned many ages, many places and many interests, including his long career as a pilot and flight instructor with TCA/Air Canada, sailor extraordinaire and curler.
Special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers and social workers for their compassionate care and support at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, and in Montreal at the Lakeshore General Hospital and the West Island Palliative Care Residence.
A celebration of his life will take place later in Hudson, Que.
