CAMERON, Kenneth Lloyd

Cameron, Kenneth Lloyd – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ken Cameron on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in his seventieth year. Born in Dartmouth, Ken spent his early years out west, beginning with the air force in Manitoba and then the construction industry in Calgary, Alberta. Much of his working career was in the construction industry throughout Nova Scotia and the rest of the Maritimes after moving to Tatamagouche in 1979. Since retiring, he enjoyed his love of the farm, his Hereford cattle and, lately, the guitar again. Surviving are his mother, Rita Cameron (nee Shea), who is originally from Tignish, PEI, and her partner, Sydney Young, of Calgary; his loving wife of 44 years, Lola (nee Faminow), born in Pincher Creek, Alberta; he leaves behind his two sons, Jason (Rhonda, nee Brooks), and their children, Alexander and Georgia, of Ottawa; Jamie (Kelly, nee Hiltz), of Bedford. He will also be remembered by other family, mother-in-law, Helen Faminow; brother-in-law, Mark Faminow; sister-in-law, Linda (nee Faminow) Tasker and Husband, Mel; niece, Lisa (nee Yarjau) Hill and husband, Dave, and other friends in Calgary. Ken will be sadly missed by those he leaves behind. He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd G. Cameron. A private family service will be held at a later date.
