Mike Slonski
July 6, 1922 – February 9, 2014

In memory of Mike Slonski who passed away suddenly on February 9, 2014. Mike was born in Samburg District on July 6, 1922. He was raised on the family farm, one of 12 children. As a child through the depression, Mike learned hard work, scarcity and the value of all items. Reduce/reuse/& recycle was not something he took lightly. As a young man he worked and traveled around Canada. He came back home to Prince Albert where he was a carpenter and he built many homes. He also had a career as a house inspector for the government up north. Mike loved to learn and was keenly interested in Holistic medicine and healing techniques. He was interested in politics and current events locally and around the world. He enjoyed sharing opinions and ideas. Mike always put his family first and was there to help whatever the need was. Mike is survived by 1 brother Tom (Gloria) Slonski; 2 sisters Helen Stankowski and Sophie Lupichuk; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Rose Slonski, Vicky Slonski and Helen Slonski and special friend Olga Joubert. Uncle Mike was predeceased by his parents John and Maria Slonski; brothers Joe, Pete, Frank and Adam; sister Pauline Kalinowski; 3 siblings in infancy; nephews Bobby and Clarence Slonski and brothers-in-law Harry Kalinowski and Adam Stankowski.

You can shed tears that he is gone or smile because he lived.
