Passed peacefully at Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony on Jan. 22, 2014, Mr. William Henry Samson of Mary's Harbour, NL, in his 84th year. He leaves to mourn his wife Emma; children Clara (Jordon), Freeman (Bella), and Loretta (Junior): grandchildren Jeanette (Boyd), Rosetta (Craig), Lyle (Darlene), Brendon (Shandy), Conrad (Amanda), Chad (Christina), Cindy (Hayward), Claudia (Clinton), and Randal (Alysha); great-grandchildren Charley, Chelsey (Andrew), Bobby, Brittany, Braden, Sydney, Adam, Wesley, Carley, Jackson, Jack, Mitchell, and Reanne; step-brother Francis Smith, as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Hannah, father John, brothers James and Charles, sisters Clara and Mary Hannah. Visitation was held at St. Mary’s the Virgin Church in Mary’s Harbour followed by the funeral service which was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan, 25 with Rev. Gail Coley MacDonald officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
