LEBLANC, GERALD F. - 1924 - 2014 - Gerald F. LeBlanc, 89, of Greater Lakeburn, NB, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2014, at the Villa Providence in Shediac. Born in Lewisville, NB, he was the son of the late Francis and the late Emilia (née: Bastarache) LeBlanc. Mr. LeBlanc was an avid bowler and gardener and also volunteered with several charitable organizations. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 6796 Dieppe and a parishioner of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by two daughters: Rosemarie Pellerin of Dieppe and Murielle (David) Langille of Toronto, ON; three grandchildren: Nicole (Rejean) Gautreau of Dieppe, Craig (Katie) Langille of Whitby, ON and Monique (Ryan) Trainor of Bowmanville, ON; four great-grandchildren: Kailyn, Chloe, Christian and Philip; one sister, Anita Pellerin of Dieppe; three brothers: Norman (Doris) of Moncton, Regis (Yvonne) of Dieppe and Yvon (Aurea) of Greater Lakeburn; one sister-in-law, Elda of Dieppe, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Therese (née: Hebert) in 2010; one son, Armand, one daughter, Linda; one grandson, Serge; two sisters: Jeannine and Gloria and also by three brothers: Eric, Albert and Yvon.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901), on Monday from 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Roman Catholic Church (Lakeburn) on Tuesday, February 18th, 2014 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Villa Providence Foundation, Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
