It is with great sadness to announce the passing of a very dear father, James Philpott, age 76, on February 8, 2014, at the Dr. G. B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Mary Philpott; wife, Theresa; brother William, sister, Gladys, brothers-in-law, Max Greening and Fent Oldford. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories, his only child, daughter, Cynthia Philpott; sister-in-law, Eileen Oldford; nieces, Michele Keats and family and Connie Diamond and family. Rested at the Portland United Church from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Silas G. Rodgers, took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 with interment following.
