Leonard Roy Spence, 93, Amherst and formerly of Springhill and Oxford, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late Wesley and Loretta (Gillam) Spence. Survived by his wife, the former Margaret E. Stonehouse. Predeceased by brothers, Elmer, Leslie; sister Grace Harrison.
Margaret wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Northumberland Hall for the loving care and comfort they gave to Leonard and herself.
Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, Oxford. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 23 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 25 John Black Rd, Amherst.
