Dorothy A. Clarke peacefully passed away on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Perrin’s Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, and formerly of Summerside, in her 101st year. Born in Montague, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Jessie (Mill) Parkman. Beloved wife of the late George T. Clarke. Survived by her daughter Nancy Cairns, Stanley Bridge; daughter-in-law Betty Clarke, Riverview, N.B.; grandchildren Jennifer, Michael (Anne), Julia (Dennis Brown), Christina (Brian Walker), Heather, and Dianna (Maurice St-Pierre); and by eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son, G. Kent Clarke; son-in-law Harold B. Cairns; and by her sister, Adele (William) Horton. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, then to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Summerside for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. only. Memorial donations to St. Mary’s Anglican Church would be appreciated.
