Stephenville

It is with deepest sorrow we mourn the death of Mary Ann Ryan, loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend. Mary passed away in St. John’s, NL after undergoing surgery. She leaves to mourn a loving and devoted husband Martin of 66 years and 10 children: Madonna (Gary), Lower Sackville, NS; Sheila (George), Carmel, NY, USA; Joseph (Patricia), Stephenville; Martin (Imelda), Stephenville; Mary (Lloyd), Stephenville; Kevin (Sherma), Calgary, AB; Ann (Roy), Corner Brook, NL; Jack (Georgia), Wasaga Beach, ON; Gerard (Cindy), Stephenville; Ross (Tracy), Stephenville. Also leaving to mourn are 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many relatives, family and friends. Mary will be fondly remembered for her quick wit and straightforward ­comments which have brought many smiles to family and friends. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Russell’s Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 25th and 26th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Church on West Street, with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery on the Hansen Highway in Stephenville.
