Isabel Rebecca Snook passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Harbor Stone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ethel May (Barrett) Sealy.
Isabel was an employee of the Glace Bay General Hospital for 25 years; she also was a member of St Mary’s Anglican Church, LOBA (Orange Lodge) Glace Bay. Her true passion was knitting and crocheting for her grandchildren and many friends, she also loved her long drives with Judy and Billy and waited very passionately for very special visits from her two sons, Kenneth and Morgan.
Isabel will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by daughter Judy (Billy) Pilling; sons Kenneth and Morgan (Mitch); sisters Marcella (Duncan) and Helen (Bill); 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 52 years Tom; brothers in infancy, David and Richard; step brother Gordon Sealy; sisters Edith, Sally, Maggie and Phyllis.
Visitation for Mrs. Snook will be from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in the Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St., Glace Bay 902-849-7520. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. in St Mary’s Anglican, Church Glace Bay, burial will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
