NEW GLASGOW – Robert T.K. MacIntosh, 70 of Terrace Street, New Glasgow, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2014 in Dartmouth, NS.
Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Trueman and Olive (Milne) MacIntosh.
Bob has been a resident of New Glasgow for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of Dalhousie University receiving a degree of commerce. Bob and his father owned and operated R. Trueman MacIntosh Menswear in New Glasgow and Truro. He enjoyed the 27 years spent at his summer home at Melmerby Beach, where he loved watching the sunsets. Bob enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren, telling stories, reading and listening to gospel music. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his partner Della Curtis, New Glasgow; and her children, Cheryl Curtis (Bruce Gregerson) and their daughter Olivia, Ontario; Shelley Curtis-Thompson (Andy Thompson), Plymouth Park; and their children, Dylan, Skyler and Samuel.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery, Truro at a later date.
