DHOOGE, Wayne Alexander Joseph – 63, Truro, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born January 26, 1951, he was a son of Mary E. (MacDougall) Dhooge, Antigonish, and the late Frances Joseph Dhooge. Wayne worked as a volunteer fire fighter all across Canada and lived in Alberta for several years before returning to Nova Scotia in 1997. Upon his return, he settled in Truro, and worked for Ryan’s IGA and Corrections Services. Along with his mother, Wayne is survived by his common-law spouse, Elizabeth Lunn, Truro; brother, Wade, Halifax; sister, Mary-Catherine Huntley, Halifax; sons, Blaine, Lower Sackville; Justin, Bible Hill; daughter, Shauna, Lower Sackville; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, Reverend Glenn Ronson officiating.
