County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, March 2, 2014 of Marjorie Jean
Makin, of Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O'Leary, aged 93, wife of the late Stanley Makin. Born in Moncton, NB on January 16, 1921, daughter of the late Charles and Beulah (Smith) Makin. Dear mother in law to Beverley Makin, O'Leary. Loving grandmother to Mark (Joanne), Halifax; Wendy (Bob) Peters, North Granville; Chris, Bedeque; Linda (Kent) Kidwell, Colorado; Stanley (Ethel), Summerside; Bruce, Utah; Joshua, Utah; Martha (Mike) Castleton, Andrew (Molly); Timothy, Utah. Beloved step grandmother to Kilmeny Boates, O'Leary and David (Cindy) Boates, Harrington. Great grandmother to 28 grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Marjorie is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, husband Stanley (1985), daughter Linda (Les) Stout (2006) and son Gordon Makin (2012), sister Myrth (Bill) Howell and brother Del (Phil) Hopper. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Tuesday March 4th from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday March 5th at 11:00 a.m. in the O'Leary United Church. Interment to follow at a later date in the Lower Bedeque Cemetery. In memory of Marjorie, memorials to the O'Leary United Church would be appreciated.
