The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, March 8, 2014, of Gregory “Nipper” Noonan, of Summerside, aged 76 years.
Born in Summerside, he was the son of the late Henry Noonan, QC, and the late Ada “Tiny” (Sullivan) Noonan. Survived by his loving wife Lois (Carr) Noonan; sons, Michael (Bernie), Halifax, N.S.; Scott (Cindy), Cornwall, ON; grandchildren, Scottie, Cassaundra and Aaron; brothers, Jack (Nicole), Montreal, QC; Dr. James (Barbara), Moncton, N.B.; Arthur (Leslie), Summerside; sisters, Geraldine (Gerald) Grant and Marjorie (George) Lecky, both of Summerside; special aunt, Imelda Noonan, Charlottetown; sisters-in-law, Sherry Gallant, Summerside; Arlene Carr, Summerside; brothers-in-law, Darcy (Sandra) Carr, Summerside; Gerald Keil, Greenwood, N.S.; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters, Shirley Keil and Pauline MacPhee.
Greg was retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, and will be deeply mourned by his family, fellow Hospice volunteers, and his Tim Horton coffee buddies.
Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
