The death occurred at the Western Hospital, Alberton on Thursday March 6, 2014 of Louis J. Doucette of Miminegash aged 81 years. Beloved husband of Joan Doucette. He was born in Miminegash on May 24, 1932, the son of the late John and Evelyn (Arsenault) Doucette. Dear father to Sherry and Darlene Doucette of Montague and loving grandfather to Jamie (Suella) Perry, St. Louis and Terry Doyle, Miminegash. He is also survived by brother Bradford (Alice) Doucette, Rosebank, sister Eileen (Frank) Brown, St. Louis, sister-in-law Eva Doucette, Tignish, brother-in-law Wilfred Deagle, St. Louis, stepbrother Emile (Noella) Doucette, Alberton, stepsister Catherine (Larry) Drouin, Montrose and stepsister-in-law Jean Doucette, Summerside also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Joyce ( late Joe) Wedge, Miminegash, Janet Doucette (Clifford), St Edward, Goldie (late Robert) Morgan, Alberton, Ruth (late George) Gaudet, Miminegash, Alfred (Kay) Gallant, Miminegash, Dot Gallant, St. Louis, Terry (late Joanne) Gallant, iminegash and Cora (late Gordon) Gallant, Miminegash. He was predeceased by his parents John and Evelyn, son Terry, stepmother Anna, brother Freddie, sister Helen, stepbrothers Raymond and Jimmy, and mother and father in-law Andrew & Winnifred Gallant. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road, no visiting hours. Funeral will be held Tuesday March 11, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road where funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Art Pendergast.
