Katherine (Buchanan) Deveaux

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine Deveaux, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (MacNeil) Buchanan of Gardiner Mines on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Mississauga, Ont.
Katherine is survived by her, sons, Daniel ‘Buck’ (Penny) and John (Alice); daughter, Margaret Ann Barbe (Rick), all of Ontario. She is also survived by two brothers, Willie (Babes) New Waterford, Hughie (Glace Bay); six grandchildren, James, Adam, Tyler, Myles, Derick and Gabrielle; one great-grandchild, Maria; and Tara Moore Jones, who was like a granddaughter of Kay’s.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband, James William ‘Coney” Deveaux; sisters, Anna and Clara and brothers, Tom, Michael, Gordie and Danny.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass officiated by Fr. Dan Boudreau will be celebrated Monday, 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment in St. James Cemetery, Gardiner Mines.
