SAUNDERS, ANNETTE - The family of Annette Christine Saunders (Worrell) and her husband, Richard Saunders are deeply saddened to announce that she passed away, peacefully, at her home in Baillie, NB on March 12, 2014, after a short illness with cancer. Born in St. Stephen, NB, daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Higgs) Worrell. She lived the greater part of her life in Calais, Maine. Rick and Annette returned to Baillie the last 13 years. Annette enjoyed cooking and was always treating everyone with her delicious pies. She loved to garden, especially growing roses and she enjoyed writing her many fun stories that were printed in the St. Croix Courier. In her earlier years, she worked at Mardens and Home Care. Annette is survived by her husband, Richard; son, Eric Geroux (Edna); brother-in-law, David Saunders (Bonnie); step-son, Larry Saunders (Jayna); step-daughter, Jennifer Saunders Donovon (Tim); brothers, Larry (Esther) and Glenn (Maureen) Worrell; sisters, Carol Small (Darrell) and Linda Harris (Tim); step-grandchildren, Seth, Casey, Kylie and Kobe; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Resting at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2 PM. By Annette's request, there will be no visitation.
Interment at Moores Mills Rural Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Andersonville Baptist Church, Charlotte County Cancer Society, Extra-Mural or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
