SCOTSBURN – Leonard Alexander Patriquin, 73, of MacBeth Road, Scotsburn, passed away March 12, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Loganville, he was the son of Jean (Taylor) Muir, of Trenton and the late Lawrence Morash.
A trucker for years, Leonard was a strong minded, good hearted, fun loving man who meant what he said and said what he meant. He will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
Leonard is survived by his daughter and friend, Patricia Beresford, Guelph, Ontario; grandchildren: Jessica (Ryan Purdy) Beresford, Marissa Beresford, Bobbi and Elycha Marshall; great-granddaughter, Lila Beresford; former wife, Diane Patriquin, Guelph, Ontario; devoted pals, Henry and Snagglepuss.
He was predeceased by sons Cliff and Guy Patriquin; and daughter, Laura Patriquin.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, from where funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Lara Scholey officiating. A reception will follow.
