Gallagher, Sr. Mary Alberta of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, died on March 12, 2014 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston in the 73rd year of her religious life. Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan on September 24, 1921, Sister Mary Alberta is predeceased by her parents, Fergal Aloysius and Mary Alberta (O’Toole) Gallagher, and her brothers, Bernard and Rev. Patrick Gallagher, CSB and her sisters, Marie Gallagher and Sister Muriel Gallagher, SP. Sister is survived by her sister, Laura MacLean of Moose Jaw, Sask. and her brothers, George of Regina, Rev. Jack Gallagher, CSB of Edmonton and Gregory of Stenen, Sask.. Sister will be fondly remembered by her family, her many nieces and nephews, her friends, and by the members of her religious community.
