HOPEWELL – Elizabeth Marion MacLeod, 69, Hopewell, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Toronto, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Victor Alfred and Elizabeth Marion (Howieson) Lovegrove. In earlier years, she had been employed as a seamstress with Stanfields, Truro and with the Canadian Employment Center, New Glasgow. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, and doing crafts and puzzles.
Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie McLeod, Stellarton; son, Calvin (Robyn) McLeod, Trenton; grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Rebecca, Victoria, Alexis, Abigail and Noah; brother, Victor “Vic” (Carole) Lovegrove, Newmarket, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter Neil MacLeod.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Pastor Ryan King officiating. Interment will be in Hopewell Cemetery at a later date. www.pkmacdonald.ca
