Fisher, Albert Fraser, 84, Green Oaks died March 18, 2014 at Elk Court in Brookfield. Born June 8, 1929 in Green Oaks he was the son of the late Fraser and Adelaide (Geldart) Fisher. Albert was a heavy equipment operator, building roads for the forest industry. He also repaired the equipment and was very knowledgeable on the mechanics of engines. Albert was an avid reader of history and current affairs. Albert is survived by his daughter, Linda McGeehan, Truro; son, Stephen (Nancy) Green Oaks; grandsons, Kristen (LeeAnne) Fisher, Troy (Elise) Fisher; sisters, Sylvia Barnhill, Carol Jakal; brother, Arthur (Vera) Fisher; special niece, Georgie Henderson, Edmonton, Alta. He was predeceased by sisters, Shirley Dixon, Betty Henderson; brothers, Donald, Gerald, Paul and John; friend and nephew, Fraser Barnhill. The family wish to express their gratitude to the Staff at Elk Court for the care extended to Albert. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Fisher Creek Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Colchester Food Bank.
