It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Francis (Frank) Downey announce his passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his brothers: John (Vivian), Gerald, Walter (Emmie), sisters: Helena (Alfred) Patry; sister-in-law Debbie Downey as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander & Margaret Downey; brothers: Richard, Albert, Vincent; sisters: Rita Quilty, Maud Gillis, Bride Ryan and Marie Gale. The funeral mass will be held at St. Columcille Parish, St. Fintan’s on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Gerard Patry officiating. To honor and respect Frank’s wishes cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
