LEBLANC, MARIE (1923 - 2014) - Marie LeBlanc, 90, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, formerly of Champlain Street, Dieppe, NB, passed away on Sunday, March 23rd, 2014, at her residence. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the adopted daughter of the late Albenie and the late Marie-Anne (née: Savoie) Gallant. Mrs. LeBlanc had retired from The Moncton Hospital and she was a member of Sainte-Thérèse parish. Marie was a caring daughter, a dedicated wife, a pillar of strength as a mother and an amazing, loving grandmother. Her smile brightened our home, her laughter made this world a better place. She is survived by four daughters: Diana (Vaughan) Blaney of Gagetown, Eliane (Andy) Blanchard of Grand-Barachois, Ida LeBlanc of Moncton and Shirlee LeBlanc of Dieppe; one son, Guy (Maida) LeBlanc of Moncton; one sister, Liliane Vedder of Moncton; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her biological parents: Dominique and Pricillia Petitpas; her husband, Edouard “Ned” in 2004; two daughters: Thérèse and Dorice; one son, Sonny; one sister, Eveline and also by two brothers: Jimmy and Henrie.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Friday from 10 am until time of departure.
Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Friday, March 28th, 2014 at 11 am.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB
