COREY, GAIL VIOLET - Gail V. Corey of Bear Island, NB, wife of Leo R. Corey, passed away March 23, 2014 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Gail was born at Stanley, NB in 1950, a daughter of Violet (McGeehan) Yerxa and the late Gerald Yerxa. Gail enjoyed gardening and painting. She is survived by her husband Leo of Bear Island, NB; a daughter, Leona Corey, Edmonton, AB; her mother, Violet of Mactaquac, NB; a sister, Geraldine Pike (Leslie), Temperance Vale, NB; two brothers, Danny Yerxa (Joy), Riverview, NB and Bev Yerxa (AnnaMae), Scotch Lake, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Bear Island Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Gail, the family has suggested the Bear Island Cemetery or a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements by Flewelling Funeral Home, Nackawic, NB.
