SMITH, GILBERTE “BERT” - Gilberte “Bert” Smith, 94, formerly of Moncton, passed away following a lengthy illness on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Villa Providence in Shédiac. Born on August 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Alyre and Emma (LeBlanc) LeBlanc, the wife of the late Alexander Smith (2006) and the mother of the late Alexis Smith (1997). She is survived a grandson, Jessie; her sisters and brothers: Gervais, Ulric, Léonette MacLean, Margaret Maillet and Fernande Léger; several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers: Valéry, Elmo, Jean-Paul, Thérese and Benoite.
There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday, March 28, 2013 at 1:30 pm.
