It is with great sadness that the family of the late Weldon Abbott announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center in Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, March 26th 2014 at the age of 84 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sons: David in Corner Brook, Charles in Stephenville Crossing and William (Jackie) in Ontario his daughters: Ann (Gerard) Grandy in Stephenville Crossing, Paulette (Rick) Perrin in New Brunswick, Bella (Mario) Campos in Ontario, Henrietta Abbott (Brian) in Alberta and Phyllis (Bob) Allan in Ontario. Also leaving to mourn are his nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Annie Abbott, his loving wife Margaret, his brothers: Gordon, Roy, Harold, Woody and his granddaughter Sharlene Emma Abbott. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home on Station Road in Stephenville Crossing from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday March 28th 2014. Funeral services will take place on Saturday March 29th 2014 at 10 a.m. from Assumption Parish in Stephenville Crossing with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
