MURPHY, ROSALINE “ROSE” - Rosaline “Rose” Murphy, 67, formerly of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe, wife of James “Jim” Murphy sadly passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born September 28, 1946 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late J. Alban and Lucienne (Belliveau) Melanson. Rose was a loving person with a “heart of gold” who enjoyed family gatherings and socializing. She was a great cook and loved doing her crossword puzzles, shopping and spending time with her family. Prior to retirement she worked at the Villa du Repos caring for others. Besides her husband Jim, Rose will be sadly missed by step-son, Michael “Mike” (Tammy) of Saskatoon; two grandsons: Keagan and Kieran; a step-daughter, Cathie (Danny) grandchildren Buddy and Angie of Nova Scotia, sisters Sue Fougère (Don) of Dieppe and Phyllis Maillet (Fern) of Moncton; brothers Norm (Adrienne) of Dieppe, Jean-Paul (Claudette) and Maurice (Annette) Melanson of Moncton; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by one brother, Francis.
In keeping with Rose’s wishes, there will be no visitations. A private family funeral will be celebrated at the Frenette Funeral Centre in Moncton (858-1900) on Monday March 31, 2014. In her memory, donations can be made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to a donor’s choice.
