William Bragdon

BRAGDON, WILLIAM ERNEST - Surrounded by his loving family, William "Billy" Ernest Bragdon of Lower Hainesville, NB passed away peacefully at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday March 26, 2014.
William was born December 9, 1944 in Lower Hainesville to Ernest S. Bragdon and Annie M. (Stilwell). William is survived by his sons Paul (Andrea) and Jonathan; his brothers Michael (Sharon), Brian and Patrick; his sisters Margaret, Elizabeth (Ronald), Greta (Bernard), Rita (Dean), Linda (Myles), Charlene (Barry "Hoppy") and Carol (Tab); the mother of his children, Joan Baird; his uncle, Harold Stilwell and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Clark, Lee and Robert and a brother-in-law, Eugene. Dad loved to grow a garden and give (or peddle) his vegetables to friends, family or perfect strangers. He loved working in the woods, yard sales, Chinese food with family, and western movies. Most of all he loved his family and was very proud of his two boys. Anyone who knows him knows that he treated everyone the same, and wasn’t afraid to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Thanks go to the caring staff at the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital, his caregivers, the staff at the Sobey's pharmacy and especially Dr. Erin Tingley who went out of her way to treat him with care and compassion. Finally, his family would like to thank Andrea (Paul) and Carol (Tab) for their loving attention to his daily needs over the last several years.
Visitation with the family will take place at the Lower Hainesville Wesleyan Church, 468 Central Hainesville Road, Lower Hainesville, NB on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from noon until 2 pm. A memorial service will then be held with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating. Interment will take place later at Lower Hainesville Cemetery. For those who wish to give a donation in memory of William, the family suggests either the Lower Hainesville Wesleyan Church, the Lower Hainesville Cemetery or the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital Foundation.
