DUNBRACK, MARY VIRGINIA – November 17, 1922 – March 28, 2014 - Virginia died quietly at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 91. She was the daughter of the late Charles V. Lynch and Helen Burchill. Virginia was predeceased by her husband Barry and brother Charles Lynch, and will be remembered by her daughters: Janet Dunbrack (David Mayerovitch) and Phyllis Bennett (Bill Bennett); son Robert (Elizabeth Ellis); granddaughter Sarah Bennett; and grandsons: Andrew, Geoffrey, Tyrrell and Timothy Dunbrack; brother-in-law Bill (Norma) Dunbrack and several nieces and nephews. Virginia retired in 1983 after many years as a trust officer with Central Trust. She was active in the Arthritis Society, the City of Saint John Beautification Committee and enjoyed photography, gardening, sewing and working on her laptop. Practical and straightforward, she spoke in her later years with a refreshing directness that was enjoyed by her family and friends. The family extends their thanks to the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa, SJRH and Dr. William O’Brien.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). At Virginia’s request there will be no formal visiting or funeral service. Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
