PITT, GERTRUDE MAE - After a long and fulfilling life, the death of Gertrude Pitt, wife of the late Borden Pitt occurred at her residence on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was born on May 20, 1917 in Westfield to the late Walter and Elsie (Pitt) Campbell. Gertrude was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she devoted her life to her family. She was a member of Main Street Baptist/RiverCross Church and enjoyed many years at Sister Shelia's Manor. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Lynn O’Leary (Pat) of Saint John; grandchildren: Sheri Fowler (Neal) and Jeffrey O’Leary (Kate); great-grandchildren: Emily and Ben Fowler; sisters-in-law: Mable, Marion and Winnifred Campbell and several nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by her husband, parents and brothers: Harold, Kenneth, Eugene and Gerald.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Wednesday, April 2, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
