It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Louise Wilson on March 25, 2014, at the age of 69.
Born and raised in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Louise attended Sydney Mines High School, and soon found herself working in administration at the Nova Scotia Technical Institute, soon to be UCCB (CBU).
She married her husband Jim in 1973 and quickly started her family in Louisburg with the birth of her daughters Heather, Margaret and son Steven. It would be her family that she devoted her beautiful life towards.
As her children grew older, she spent evenings completing her education and in the mid 1990s graduated from UCCB with her chemical technology diploma. She applied this accomplishment as a technologist at the Environmental Services Laboratory for a few years before retiring.
Louise's connection with others was timeless. She was a source of wisdom, emotional support and comfort to her children, friends, children's friends, and anybody who was blessed to share some time with her. She listened without judgment, sincere compassion and made you feel loved. She had a passion for animals, and took tremendous pleasure in raising her beloved cats and dogs over the years. Her unique, beautiful, gentle spirit is irreplaceable and will be forever missed.
Louise is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Margaret MacDonald, her husband Jim, stepdaughter Lee, and survived by her children Heather (Matt), Margaret and Steven and her brother Robert (Margaret) MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place. The family invites everyone to a celebration of her life at the family home, 1388 Trout Brook Rd., Marion Bridge, from noon onward on Wednesday, April 2.
