Peacefully, at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in her 92nd year, the passing of “Carrie” Kemp (nee Creed), formerly of Albion, devoted wife of the late Bryce M. Kemp, occurred with her family by her side.
Born on March 31, 1922, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Creed and Mary Marcellena MacKenzie.
Carrie is survived by her loving children, Roy (Anne), Laverne MacDonald, Isabell MacEachern (Doug), Billy (Jean), Jackie, Betty McNally (Martin), Kenny (Marcel), Helen Stewart (Doug) and David (Doreen); one sister, Helen O’Connor; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Carrie was predeceased by her parents; husband, Bryce; son, Kevin; daughter, Debbie Romano; granddaughter, Carrie Anne Kemp; grandson, John Blair Kemp; brothers, John Creed, James Creed, William Creed and George Creed; sisters, Frances Peardon, Mary Louise Jamieson and infant sister, Helen Mae Creed.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, April 3, 2014, from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass to take place at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sturgeon, on Friday, April 4, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Burial to take place at a later date in the St. Paul’s Parish Cemetery, Sturgeon.
