1928 - 2014
It is with a great deal of sadness that the family of Helen Agnes McHugh announces her peaceful passing on March 27, 2014. Helen was born on January 26, 1928 in Truro, NS, the town she continued to call home for most of her life. Helen is predeceased by her daughter Cheryl and her son Daryl, as well as her parents Severn & Nellie Belle, her brother Ernest, and her sister Pearl. She is survived by her children, Bonita, Constance, Beverly, Donald (Naomi), Tammy, and Robert: her grandchildren Reggie, Iven, Alan, Reanna, CJ, and Connor, and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Betty and brother Osbourne. There will be an informal Celebration of Helen's Life at Fair Haven Funeral Home in Moncton, NB from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. The family would also like to recognize the numerous loving in-home Caregivers as well as staff of The Drew Nursing Home in Sackville, NB for their kindness, compassion, and understanding for all the patients under their care. Despite a heavy workload they always presented themselves with a high degree of professionalism and humanity for those in their charge--we will be forever grateful.
