ERNST, MARY ELIZABETH “MAUREEN” - Mary Elizabeth “Maureen” Ernst, passed away March 21, 2014 at Shannex Nursing Home. Born on November 17, 1923 in Ballinasloe, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Keighary. Surviving are her sons, Peter (Brenda) Ernst, Rothesay; Garnet Ernst, Saint John; grandchildren, Patrick (Kim); Michael (René); Lisa (John), Monica (Matt), Sean, Meaghan and Ryan; great grandchildren, Jessica, Ben, Kaley and Kyle, Laurel, Jacob and Connor. Besides her parents, Maureen was predeceased by her husband, Harry Ernst; daughter, Donna; brother, Tommy.
Arrangements are in the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). There will be no visitation. However the Funeral Service will be held from Shannex Embassy Hall, 70 Swanton Drive, Quispamsis on April 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice or to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
