Rhonda D. Smith
June 12, 1957 – March 30th, 2014
Rhonda earned her angel wings at St. Paul’s Hospital on March 30th 2014, at the age of 56, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rhonda is survived by her children: Jenny (Brett ), Brittany (Donovan), and honourary daughter Jennifer, and their children: Alex, Dagan, Jordan and Morgan. She is also survived by her mother Doris,father Jim, her brother Patrick (Mary), sister Lori (Mark), sister Lanny, friend (honourary sister) Barb, the father of her children Clarence, her beloved dog Hershey, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom she held close and supported her on her journey in life. She was predeceased by her baby brother Joseph, her grandmother Elizabeth, and her grandfather Nicolas. Special thanks to Father Riel for the prayers and help with her transition and the Palliative Care staff for their genuine love and support for mom and her family during her stay; her family will forever be grateful for all of the kind words, hugs, laughter, tears, and memories that the staff provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary or to the Palliative Care centre at St. Paul’s Hospital. Rhonda wished to have a happy gathering and a celebration of her life. Please wear bright colours to honour Rhonda’s wish for a celebration. Prayer service and Celebration of Life will take place at the Sister’s of Presentation of Mary Chapel in Prince Albert; Prayer service to be held Thursday 7 pm, Celebration of Life Friday 2 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date.
