GIROUARD, JOHN-PAUL (PAUL) - John-Paul (Paul) Girouard, 84, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva (Richard) Girouard. Paul was a retired Steward with Air Canada and Manager of Brunswick Wholesale. He was an avid coin and stamp collector, a member of the Champlain Mall Walking Club and attended Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church. Paul will be sadly missed by his former wife and long time friend, Claudette Girouard; brother, Vincent Girouard of Moncton; sister, Marguerite Smith of Saint John; nieces and nephews, Joanne Girouard of Moncton, Louise West (Gordon) of Dieppe, Alice Walsh (Clarence) of Blacks Harbour, Mark Smith (Bonnie) of Ottawa, ON, Margaret-Mary Girouard of Moncton, Raymond Girouard (Bonnie) of Moncton, Cathy Girouard of Vancouver, BC; as well as several great nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Maria Atkinson; brother, Dr. Charles Edward Girouard and godson, Charles Girouard.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday April 3, 2014 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm followed immediately by the Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 pm with Rev. Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
