MOREHOUSE, MARY ELIZABETH - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Morehouse announces her death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014. Born in Keswick, NB, on June 29th, 1938, she was the wife of Edward “Eddy” Morehouse of Haneytown, NB.
In addition to her husband, Eddy, Mary leaves behind her children, Gordon and Susan (Bryce MacMillan); grandchildren, Danielle, Christopher (Jessie) and Amanda (Jeff); great grandsons, Kaleb and Nathan; sisters, Pauline Billings and Florence Currie; as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Mary was predeceased by her parents, William “Gordon” and Annie (Allen) Currie ; an infant daughter, Judith; brothers, Beverly, Allen and Lyle; sisters, Lila Buckley and Marguerite Bonnar; and brother in law, Donald Billings. Mary worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Bob Prosser, her friend and mentor, for 25 years. She enjoyed working in this position and took great pleasure in meeting and getting to know so many people in the community throughout that time. In her down time, Mary enjoyed quilting and knitting, and was an avid reader.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at Mary’s request. A graveside service for family will be held in St. John’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Oromocto, in the spring.
