Among her favourites were Neil Diamond, Rita McNeil, Barbara Streisand, John Lennon, Michael Flatley, Cats (6 times), Phantom of the Opera and too many movies to mention. Adele was an avid reader. Top favourite was Steven King novels & movies. She was thrilled to actually see the home where he lived & she never forgave the person who struck him with his vehicle. Also, the Advocate and Canadian Geographic. Her collection of news clippings resulted in - go to Dell/Deller she will know. Always beat us at Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy. A wealth of knowledge! Adele's other passions included Professional Ice Skating and horse racing. Her love for the ocean led her to many seaside adventures where she collected her treasured driftwood, rocks and shells. Mom will be remembered for her great sense of humour, quick wit, sarcasm and fierce independence. She had a knack of tagging people with hilarious nicknames. She enjoyed rummy card games (when she was winning). Always supported us even though she knew we were wrong. Thanks to the Carleton Manor for their loving care and support of our Mom. Special thanks to Alene Steeves, Wilhelmine Estabrook, Cynthia Broad and Neil Kirkbride for all they did for Mom through the many years.
