MACLEAN, ROBERT WAYNE - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert Wayne MacLean which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Saturday, April 5th, 2014. Born 1947, in Charlottetown, PEI, he was the son of the late Robert Samuel and Florence Mae (Van Iderstine) MacLean. Wayne worked in the insurance industry as a claims manager for 40 years. He loved getting up and going to work every day, mostly because of the people that he worked with. He always enjoyed a good laugh with Daphne and Carolyn. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Bonnie of 32 years; sons Christopher (Paula) of Toronto, Michael Shipley of Sussex; daughters Pamela of Scotland, Lori Tucker (Darren) of Ottawa; sister Wendy McKinnon (Danny) of St. Martins; grandchildren Julie Ann Brewster, Brandon and Jarod Shipley, Skylar and Zoe MacLean, Grace and Gabrielle Tucker, Ethan Murphy, great-granddaughter Brooklyn; furry friends Dylan and Maggie; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his brother Brian.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Wednesday, April 9th at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date.
