Currie, Michael Eugene - 57, Crowes Mills, passed away suddenly in the Cumberland Regional Health Center, Amherst on April 4, 2014 after several years residence in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Truro, he was the son of Jean (Armsworthy) and the late Frederick Currie. Mike was employed at Canadian Automotive Radiator for over 15 years. Mike loved people and life, a generous man and never had an unkind word about anyone. He was punctual and liked routine. Mike's simple pleasures were to fish, play darts, a taste of Crown Royal, scratch tickets, diet Coke, Coronation Street and mom’s mac ‘n cheese. He was a past member of the Horsemen's Club and the Debert Legion. Mike was a good son, a great brother and a proud uncle. Besides his mother he is survived by his sisters, Judith-Ellen Robben, Truro, Cheryl (Jim) Teed, Debert, Pauline (Randy Pratt) Currie, Salmon River; brothers, Fred (Mona ), Crowes Mills, Gary, Pugwash, Dale, Truro; 13 nieces, 5 nephews. A celebration visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9th from 6 - 8 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.
