Passed away with great courage and dignity on April 5th, 2014, at the Health Sciences Centre, Florence (Flo, Flossie) Pond (nee Power) formerly of Branch, St. Mary's Bay. Leaving to mourn her loving daughters, Earline Kelly (her darling) (Eamonn), Donegal Ireland; Elaine Pond (her baby) St. John's; former husband and best friend Earl; precious grandchildren Luke, Laura and Liam (her jewels); loving brothers Aloysuis (Florence), Bob (Nora); devoted sister Marie Roche; sisters in law, Marie Anstey (Pat), Mary Hunt (Arthur), Nita Pickett and Vera Pond, whose friendship and support were invaluable to her; brothers in law Israel Gover, John Cutler, Wayne Pond (Janet) and Edmund Maidment; cherished nieces and nephews and a large circle of dear friends. At Florence's request, cremation has taken place. Relatives may visit the family at Barretts Funeral Home at 328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's on Monday, April 7th from 7 - 9pm, and Tuesday, April 8th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. Funeral service will take place at Barretts chapel on Wednesday, April 9th at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VOWR.
