Jadwiga passed away peacefully on April 6, 2014. She was predeceased by Matt, her beloved husband of 19 years. Jadwiga was also predeceased by her parents Piotr and Boleslawa Kaminski, brother Wincenty, sister Janina (Czeslaw), and nephews Jerzy (Jolanta) and Matt. She is survived by her nieces Marianna and Elzbieta (Zefir), nephews Witalis, Eugeniusz (Teresa), Tadeusz (Malgorzata), and other family members including Andrew and Kris (Missy) Lesniewski, Peter (Jennifer) and Patrick Jablonowski, along with numerous other family members in Poland. Jadwiga, originally from Kam-Wiktory, Poland, moved to Canada in 1961 where she later met her husband Matt. Although Jadwiga did not have children of her own, she was very close to all of her nieces and nephews. Jadwiga sponsored her niece Marianna Lesniewski and her family to immigrate to Canada. A devout Catholic, Jadwiga was a long standing member of St. Joseph’s Parish. She was employed by CanaDay’s for over 20 years, eventually retiring to spend more time outside in her garden. Jadwiga’s family would like to send a special thanks to the staff at Extendicare who looked after her for the last 2 years. A Prayer Service will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 7: 00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK with Father Rick Krofchek presiding.
