ARSENAULT, DANIEL - Daniel Arsenault, 62, of Grand-Barachois, passed away at Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Born July 6, 1951 in Saint-John, he was the son of the late André and Hermance (Léger) Arsenault. Before his retirement, he was employed with the Villa Providence, Shediac for 35 years. For the past 5 years he was employed with Edmond Gagnon Ltd. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Barachois and the Legion in Shediac. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Claudette; two daughters: Carole (Chris Knott) of Grand-Barachois and Michelle Weaver (Rick) of Dieppe; eight brothers and sisters: René of Notre-Dame, Dorice Collette (Roland) of Grand-Barachois, Jocelyne Thibodeau (Omer), Thaddée (Ginette), Jean-Paul, Donald (Angela) all of Grande-Digue, Anne-Marie Arsenault (Adelard “Boy” Bourque) of Shediac and Maurice (Nancy) of Dieppe; three grandchildren: Justin, Ryan and Alex; special aunt, Doris Darling of Bellingham, MA; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Gérald.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 2 pm until time of departure (3:45 p.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois on Friday at 4 p.m. Followed by a reception at the Frenette Funeral Center, Shediac. In memory of Daniel, a contribution to the UHC Dumont Foundation (pulmonary) would be appreciated. Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Center, Shediac.
