Clarence (Hopper) Rose of Bell Island, Born July 12, 1937- April 8, 2014 - Passed away suddenly at the Bell Island Hospital. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Predeceased by his parents; Samuel and Lillian, brother; Harold, sister; Marjorie. Leaving to mourn his wife of fifty years Myrtle (Somerton). Together they opened their hearts and home to family and friends with laughter, joy of music, and cooked meals to make all feel welcome who came to visit. Leaving his children Debbie, David, Scott (Ellen), Eric (Shannon), brothers; George, Ambrose (Connie), Sammy, Eric (Marguerite), Special sister Millie (Wayne Flight), Evelyn (Ray Mooring), grandchildren; Tiffany (Don), Krista (John), Brandon (Bogi), Jennifer, Kaitlyn; great- grandchildren; Logan, Owen, Hayden, Austin. Special thank you to Jim Parsons for his caring and compassion during this difficult time, as well as Special friends Jerome Warren, Donny Tulk and Gerald Drover. Viewing to take place at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. and Friday from 12 - 9:00 p. m. Service to take place on Saturday April 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. from St. Cyprian's Anglican Church Bell Island. Interment to follow at St. Cyprians Cemetery.
