TRITES, MARION ELIZABETH - Marion E. Trites, 97, of McNair Manor, Riverview and formerly of Cornhill St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Steeves) Kay. Marion was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was a member of Highfield Baptist Church. Marion will be sadly missed by her son, Gerald David Trites of Mahone Bay, NS; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Thomas Trites (1980); sister, Irene; and brothers, George, Edward and William. Marion approached life with great vitality and energy. She loved being with people and had many friends. Her love for her family and others close to her was always unwavering and constant.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), visitation will be on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service for Marion will follow immediately at 1:00 pm in Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Cormier officiating. A reception will follow the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, in the spring.
