Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Thursday, April 10th, 2014, MURIEL MELVINA MAYO, of Creston South, NL, in her 88th year. Leaving to mourn her loving daughters Pauline Smith (Ches), Creston North, Norma Mitchell, Edson, AB, Maxine Rideout, (Charles), Marystown, Brenda Hollett (Amos), Lewins Cove, Pansy Moulton (Harold), Creston South; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sister Violet Brushett, Marystown, brother in law Abel Mayo, Creston North; and a large number relatives and friends.

Muriel is predeceased by her husband Thomas, granddaughter Tami Mitchell, sister Rebecca Hodder, and brother Gordon Hillier.

Rev. Hubert F. Tucker conducted the Funeral Service at Calvary United Church, Creston South, on Sunday, April 14th, 2014; at 2:00 pm. Interment was at the United Church Cemetery in Creston South.

In Muriel’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Pall bearers were Dwayne Smith, Darren Smith, Dale Smith, Christopher Smith, Kenny Rideout, and Todd Hollett.
