It is with deep sadness that we must announce the passing of Reginald "Reg" White of Springhill, NS. Reg passed away unexpectedly at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Sunday, April 13, 2014.
Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late John and Margaret (McKay) White.
Reg was a very smart man who loved to study and loved to work. He always strived to be the best, and achieved First Class Power Engineering and was well known across Canada for his skills. He was asked to and for a short time taught night classes in Engineering. He was a good man who loved his wife of 66 years, his son and his grandchildren. He and his wife Dorothy loved to dance and loved to sing the old hymns. Dedicated to his religion, he knew his bible inside and out.
He will sadly missed by his wife Dorothy Morrison of Springhill, his son Borden (Heather), Springhill, 3 grandchildren who filled his life with great joy, Alex, Taylor and Katie.
He was predeceased by parents and his siblings, Kathleen, Jimmy and Roddie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to A H Brown Funeral Service, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. His funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2 pm, Rev. Wayne McCarther officiating. Cremation will take place following the funeral and burial will take place at a later date.
